Pathways to success
As a group we have a track record of putting faith in player development and young players. Our UK based Fleetwood Town Football Club have a proven pathway of bringing young talent through our Premier League backed Academy programme. In the last two years alone we’ve seen 15 players progress into our first team, with three in the past year being sold Into the Premier League.
Our success is built on a platform of elite level coaching which not only challenges the player, but also develops them as a person off the pitch with a world class education programme.
Our strategy creates pathways into the football profession, not just on the field, but also off it.
Premier League Winner
Jamie Vardy
Jamie Vardy joined Fleetwood Town from semi-Professional side Halifax Town in 2011 on his first professional contract. He went onto score 36 goals in 31 games for the club, helping FTFC to promotion to the Football League in 2012.
Sold to Leicester City in a deal worth £1.7m in 2012,he went onto famously win the Premier League and play for England’s national team numerous times including the 2018 the World Cup in Russia.

Our Current Success Story
James Hill
Defender James Hill joined the club’s academy at the age of 14 before working his way through the youth system at Fleetwood Town. Made first team debut in 2018 at the age of 16, Now played 33 times for the first team and is being watched by a host of Premier League clubs, September 2021 – Called up for England U20s in September, captained them and scored in October 2021 before being promoted to the U21s. James was sold to Bournemouth in January 2022 for a club record £1.4m.

Waterford to FTFC
Phoenix Patterson
Spurs Academy graduate and junior Scotland International, Phoenix has moved to FTFC from sister club Waterford FC after having a big impact and impressing in their successful 2021-22 League of Ireland First division campaign.

Ronan Coughlan
The Irish striker came through the ranks at Limerick before signing for English side Huddersfield Town as a 17 year old. His career led him back to Ireland, where after a prolific 2023 season which saw his side gain promotion to the Irish Premier Division, he earned a move from Waterford FC to Fleetwood Town.
South Africa to Dubai
Durin Philips
22 year old left-sided player, Durin Philips came through the Ajax Cape Town academy. He was then signed by HBUFC as a 16 year old, and after impressing consistently, he was promoted to the HBUFC First Team. In 2022/23, he won the Player of the Season, Player’s Player of the season and Young Player of the Season awards, earning him the opportunity to go on trial with Fleetwood United in the UAE. He has since signed a professional contract and is fighting for promotion with them in the UAE Second Division this season.
Canada to Dubai
Keito Lipovschek
Canadian midfielder Keito Lipovscheck began his journey with the Fleetwood Football group at the age of 16 when he joined FTIFA UK to pursue his professional footballing career.
Keito initially came over and took part in the 3-month Pro Experience program with FTIFA UK, which resulted in him securing a scholarship with local college, Rossall School.
Upon graduating from school, he was offered a professional contract to play in Dubai for Fleetwood United FC.
Anthony Barry
Anthony Barry signed for Conference Premier side Fleetwood Town in the 2010/11 season. He went on to play for the Cod Army across 3 years, notably helping the cods gain promotion into League 2 for the first time in the club’s history.
After hanging up his boots, Barry went into management. He is currently the assistant manager at German giants Bayern Munich and the Portuguese national team, working with some of the biggest names in world football such as Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Amari’i Bell
Current Premier League and Jamaica National Team player Amari’i Bell played for Fleetwood Town from 2015 to 2018 and made 115 appearances for the club before moving on to Blackburn Rovers.
Now playing for Luton Town, Amari’i has been a regular in their starting XI for what is Luton’s debut season in the Premier League.
James Bulkeley
The Australian centre-back was identified by James Boyle of JBFC in Sydney, Australia, who recommended him to the coaches at FTIFA UK.
After impressing at Poolfoot, James Bulkeley was advised to go on a Pathway To Pro program in Dubai, and has since signed his first ever professional contract with Fleetwood United.
Junior Quitirna
Junior was Born in Guinea – Bissau but moved to London at the age of 8. He signed for Waterford in 2021, and after a fantastic season in 2022, in which he scored 13 goals in 35 appearances, he got a move to Fleetwood Town where he has become one of the first names in the team sheet.
